My belief is "I still owe you"for all those sunny days ormonths of caring warmth Despite feasting at our tablebrunch, lunch, dinner, dessert the old unresolved bill is there I walked away; leaving the tab on the plywood counter without reaching for my wallet These hands and lips are clean, plates already placed in the sinkso … Continue reading Unpaid Invoice

EP: His Stillness
The doctor said to my father, “You asked me to tell you when nothing more could be done. That’s what I’m telling you now.” My father sat quite still, as he always did, especially not moving his eyes. I had thought he would rave if he understood he would die, wave his arms and cry … Continue reading EP: His Stillness
EP: One Hundred Love Sonnets: XVII
I don’t love you as if you were a rose of salt, topaz, or arrow of carnations that propagate fire: I love you as one loves certain obscure things, secretly, between the shadow and the soul. I love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom but carries the light of those flowers, hidden, within itself, … Continue reading EP: One Hundred Love Sonnets: XVII

Flowed into a stationary for fresh pages and clean lines not riddled with errors. Somehow you continue … Continue reading The Pen and I
Memoir
As a youth, I realized a few things about life. Being an adult is difficult Each distinct street triggers arrows of movement. Glutted alleys of clashes consume cars of choices. Untidy avenues with rusty dented doors smeared beneath blue paint stand by shuffling feet gone awry. Everyday you must try; move a few yards forward … Continue reading Memoir
Chilly Winter
Hanging sun, staring downfollowing your travels.Hugging rays offer warmth on a brisk winter's evening; You choose to stay cool, casual, with a cloudy smile of "friendship".A hesitant message birthed by gray fogsbut delivered by twisting winds within your house. The moon will rise soonshadows will shift somewhere else. Forcing tides to wipe the land clean.
Remorse
Today I type. The act of deceitful stories has forced my lead pencil down. Omitted tales during key scenes; some of day and others of night returned drippingwords at duskto etch adverbs into a screen. It caused longmonologs that stirred doubts, then deletes. Things have continued as before but it isn't the same. AG
Conference Call
We will proceed, only after an internal council has convened, debated and suggested a resolution. Once my senatus have pulled out their steel chairs and taken their grooved plush seats, making this meeting official. The usual suspects are there, forming a murmuring round table of misfits, fools and opinionated intellectuals. Conviction will strike twice … Continue reading Conference Call
