When I close my eyes, the memory of you surrounds me
It’s like a stream that has overflowed after a thunderstorm
Your face, deep May puddles that I dare not step into
because I would drown in your long rippling smiles
It could force my heart to blossom then reach for the sky
Pollinate a warmth which gives birth to a bushel of blinks
None of this scares me, just makes me openly wonder
Why did I leave, when I still had a list of desires undone?
