Mechanic Cafe and Bar is a wonderful little joint with a lot of character. This late 70’s inspired pub reminds me of an old American garage on a hidden side street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their beer is pricey by Korean standards but they have many rarities not easily found on the peninsula. Mechanic’s Mexican menu is also worth a try and I would suggest starting with their smoked chicken taco’s or pork enchilada’s. The rooftop is charming since it’s filled with vintage throwbacks. The staff is friendly despite the gloomy ballads playing in the background making this a “must visit” during any trip to Gunsan.
